Woodson voted team MVP

University of Kentucky senior quarterback Andre Woodson was selected as the team's Most Valuable Player, the school announced yesterday.

Andre Woodson was selected for the award by his teammates, and he also took home the Most Outstanding Offensive Player Award. Andre Woodson has thrown for 3,351 yards and a league-high 36 touchdowns in leading UK to its second straight 7-5 regular season.

Senior linebacker Wesley Woodyard and sophomore defensive end Jeremy Jarmon shared the Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award. Jarmon has 58 tackles, including a team-high 13.5 tackles for loss and nine sacks. Woodyard has 124 tackles, the third straight year he's topped 100.

Woodyard and senior tight end Jacob Tamme share the Most Inspirational Player Award, which was also voted on by the UK players. Tamme is fifth on the Wildcats' all-time receptions list with 130 catches and is UK's all-time leading pass-catching tight end. He has 53 receptions this season for 584 yards and five TDs, all career-highs.

Six make Rivals' All-SEC

Six players -- tight end Jacob Tamme, defensive end Jeremy Jarmon, linebacker Wesley Woodyard, quarterback Andre Woodson, wide receiver Steve Johnson, and offensive guard Jason Leger -- were named to the All-Southeastern Conference team selected by Rivals.com

Tamme, Woodyard and Jarmon were first-team selections. Andre Woodson, Johnson and Leger made the second team.

Practices open to public
