SPRING AHEAD: The battle to replace QB Andre Woodson figures to take center stage during spring ball. According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, Junior Curtis Pulley, sophomore Mike Hartline and redshirt freshman Matt Lentz will get most of the work, as sophomore Will Fidler is attempting to come back from a labrum tear.
PRO PROSPECTS:
QB Andre Woodson -- At 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, the SEC's top passer has been in the conversation about who will be the first quarterback taken in the NFL Draft.
LB Wesley Woodyard -- He led the SEC in tackles, averaging more than 10 a game. Woodyard was second in SEC in tackles during the 2006 season.
ROSTER REPORT:
--Former Wildcats linebacker John Grimsley was shot and killed in his Houston-area home Feb. 6. Police believe he accidentally shot himself while cleaning a gun. Grimsley for the Houston Oilers and Miami Dolphins.
