FOUR KEYS TO VICTORY FOR UK
There's a good chance that Florida State -- its back to the wall after a cheating scandal and massive suspensions -- will have extra motivation. That could translate into a hot start for the Seminoles. If the Wildcats fall behind early, they'll need to keep their cool better than they did after falling behind against Mississippi State.
Give Andre Woodson time
It's the same story every game. If UK's Andre Woodson isn't forced to make decisions under duress, he picks defenses apart. When the pass rush makes him speed up the pace, he's susceptible to throwing interceptions or taking unnecessary sacks. UK kept Clemson off Andre Woodson's back most of last season, and he was the Music City Bowl MVP. If his offensive line keeps FSU in check, he'll have a shot to repeat.
Win the turnover battle
Remember last season, when the Cats were one of the nation's best teams at creating turnovers? Seems like a long time ago. This season UK is 47th in the Football Bowl Subdivision in turnover margin. That's 15 spots worse than Florida State, and the Cats can't afford to hand the ball over to the Seminoles, who will need turnovers to offset UK's depth edge.
Keep Weatherford in check
If recent history is any indication, Florida State is going to rack up rushing yards. UK -- which ranks 22nd in the Bowl Subdivision against the pass and 92nd against the run, can ill afford to give up a big day to quarterback Drew Weatherford, who has nine career 300-yard games.
